Know Hub Chile seeks to identify, assess, select and manage technologies developed by its associates in order to bring them to Market directly or through their strategic alliances.

To assess the portfolio, several objective parameters are used, which allow us to position the technology in a matrix which considers both, the concerned technology maturity level, and the market suitability and maturity to receive this technology. This enables Know Hub to act as intermediary with potential technology customers more effectively.

In those cases when technology or the market are still developing, Know Hub is building strategic alliances to shorten the technology transfer process. The first of these international alliances is the University of California, Riverside (UCR), which gives access to the USA market, through its contact network. UCR is not only a long-tradition University in the development of plant varieties ( as most of our associates are), but also with a strong emphasis on technology based innovation in general.

A distinctive mark in Know Hub portfolio management, is the early validation of the technology with potential clients, with the purpose of focusing their transfer efforts, as well as modelling the development which technologies might need to the market’s real requirements.
