The meeting seeks to open a pioneering space for collaboration between science, industry and defense.

The Dual Hub Summit, the first Latin American dual innovation meeting, will take place on May 6 and 7 in Concepción. Organized by Know Hub Chile, it will bring together universities, startups, companies, the Armed Forces and public agencies to create joint technology solutions.

“We believe that development is built on trust and cooperation between sectors that have historically worked separately,” says Javier Ramírez, executive director of Know Hub Chile.

The event will address challenges such as the Continuous National Shipbuilding Plan and the Avante 04 program, together with the Chilean Navy (Armada de Chile), and will also promote dual technology entrepreneurship.

Among its objectives, the meeting seeks to make dual innovation, which connects science, industry and defense, a regular and strategic practice for national development. The event aims to be a milestone for multisector collaboration in Latin America. With roundtables, thematic panels and presentations of real cases, the Dual Hub Summit will offer a space to explore how cooperation between different sectors can solve the country’s concrete challenges, from sustainability to technological security.

With the support of Corfo and ANID, the meeting reinforces a strategic alliance between public and private actors, both national and international.
