Javier Ramírez, executive director of Know Hub Chile, spoke with journalist Antonio Quinteros on Radio Futuro’s Mercado Futuro about the Technology Transfer bill.
In the interview, Javier Ramírez explained what the bill is about. The initiative, which is already in its second stage in Congress, establishes a regulatory framework that fosters links between research, science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship on the one hand, and national development and the business chain on the other.
The bill provides that the State will promote the protection and transfer of technology and knowledge so that research results are transferred to society. This will be done through the Ministries of Science and of Economy, with each ministry assigned specific tasks in this area.
