The acceleration program for science- and technology-based ventures, Know Hub Ignition 04, returns for its fourth edition with an investment of USD 140,000, in collaboration with Tec de Monterrey. This Know Hub Chile initiative seeks to boost technology businesses based on research and development (R&D) nationally and internationally.

The call is open to all of Latin America, including Mexico for the first time, thanks to an agreement between Know Hub and Tec de Monterrey. Applications will be open from May 29 to July 16, with two categories available: general and dual innovation.

The program is supported by Chile’s National Research and Development Agency (ANID) and the company Lockheed Martin. Chilean teams will participate in a hybrid format, while teams from the rest of Latin America will take part online.

Javier Ramírez, executive director of Know Hub Chile, highlights the program’s expansion to Colombia and Mexico, while Silvia Mora of Tec de Monterrey stresses the importance of connecting entrepreneurs with Mexico’s innovation ecosystem.

Since its launch in 2019, more than 140 teams have taken part in this program, which promotes a knowledge-based economy. The program’s categories cover a range of science and technology fields, as well as dual innovation, combining civilian and defense technology.

Applications can be submitted until July 16, 2024 at: www.knowhub.cl/ignition04
