What is Proa I+D?

It is a program that seeks the best teams of researchers to develop collaborative proposals between the Defense sector and the Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation (STKI) ecosystem.

The implementation of the program includes the following stages:

PROPOSAL IDENTIFICATION AND SELECTION

The program focuses on generating collaboration between researchers and the Chilean Navy, involving R&D projects and support for tests, trials, and validations.

CUSTOMER DISCOVERY AND ACCESS TO INSTITUTIONAL SPACES

The projects selected by the Proa R+D Program will comprise teams composed of at least 3 members and will be granted access to the Navy for visits and interviews for 3 weeks.

APPLICATION FOR FUNDING

Once selected, the teams will work together with the Chilean Navy to define the application model for the available competitive funds.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE R&D PROJECT

Once the funds are awarded and the project is approved, the project will be implemented as planned and agreed upon in the application.

RESEARCH RESULTS

Applicant teams must present previous research and technological development results.

AT LEAST THREE MEMBERS

Who, at the time of application, must accept the terms and conditions of the program.

MAXIMUM IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD OF 24 MONTHS
