Know Hub Chile and Eatable Adventures have sealed an alliance to boost agrifood innovation and food security in the Southern Cone, connecting science, startups and the market to generate solutions with social and economic impact in the region.

As part of the IDB Lab Project – Accelerating the Agrifoodtech Ecosystem in the Southern Cone, Know Hub Chile and Eatable Adventures signed a Collaboration Agreement that seeks to strengthen agrifood innovation and food security in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The agreement establishes a framework for technical and strategic cooperation focused exclusively on agrifood, with special emphasis on solutions that improve food security among vulnerable populations, prioritizing impact on children and women.

Strategic alliance

Through this alliance, Know Hub Chile joins the HUB led by Eatable Adventures as a technical partner, taking part in field validation, acceleration and coordination activities with key players in the agrifoodtech ecosystem. For its part, Eatable Adventures will invite startups linked to Know Hub Chile to take part in technology validation programs, events, training opportunities and acceleration processes, ensuring equal conditions and transparency in the selection.

The agreement also provides for collaboration in identifying technologies with validation potential, coordination with universities, research centers, producers and cooperatives, and the joint development of technology pilots and validation processes for innovative solutions aimed at improving access to, and the quality and availability of, food.

The parties also agreed on mutual participation in events, workshops, technical seminars and outreach activities, along with reciprocal mentions in both institutions’ official communication channels.

Innovation in agrifoodtech

The IDB Lab Project, executed by Eatable Adventures, aims to accelerate the development of the agrifoodtech ecosystem in the region, fostering innovative solutions that strengthen food security. HUB Project 240003, led by Know Hub Chile, seeks to turn scientific research into innovative products and services, connecting universities and R&D centers with the market to generate economic and social impact.

For Javier Ramírez, executive director of Know Hub Chile, this agreement is a key step in the mission of connecting science and the market: “This is a concrete example of how international collaboration can power innovation with purpose. By joining our capabilities with Eatable Adventures, we not only strengthen the agrifoodtech ecosystem but also create more opportunities for science and technology to respond to urgent challenges such as access to quality food. We want the solutions that emerge from this alliance to have real impact, both on industry and on the communities that need it most.”

The agreement will have an initial term of one year, with automatic renewals until June 2028, in line with the end of the IDB Lab Project. It entails no financial obligations between the parties, since it is a technical and strategic collaboration, but it sets clear commitments for participation, technical support and mutual visibility.

This alliance reflects a shared vision of driving innovation through public-private collaboration, leveraging the scientific and technological knowledge available in the region to solve challenges with major social and economic impact.

With this agreement, Know Hub Chile and Eatable Adventures reaffirm their commitment to building a stronger, more interconnected regional innovation ecosystem focused on tangible results that improve people’s lives and strengthen the competitiveness of industries.
